There comes a time in every blogger’s life when he needs to put down his headphones, step away from his MacBook and go outside. After all, there’s a whole world out there kids, and it’s just crying out for good music to be played in it. And who better to arrange that than us bloggers?
It’s with great pleasure then that I’m able to announce the first ever Can’t Hear My Eyes show, which has been curated by me in conjunction with the lovely guys over at Pie & Vinyl in - what is actually my hometown - Southsea. As you can see from the above poster, we’re hosting a stage at this year’s Southsea Fest, aptly titled The Pie & Vinyl Stage!
Pie & Vinyl is a rad little record cafè located on Castle Road, Southsea. They have a huge array of pies readily available to eat in or takeaway, with an enormous record collection out back for you to sift through after your meal, too. It’s a great example of how unique and exciting Southsea has become in recent years, so come on down and support a thriving local scene!
Those acts you see up there - the almighty Bo Ningen, the ferocious Eagulls, the beautiful Fear of Men and the new kids on the block, Paws - are just the tip of the iceberg. There’s a whole day’s worth of music still to be announced, but for now, head on over to the Southsea Fest website where you can purchase tickets for the event. As if our stage wasn’t enough, there are other bands playing the festival, too! Tellison, Tall Ships, Shoes And Socks Off, Towns and Yoofs are amongst the number of other CHME-approved acts that’ll be gracing the stages across our picturesque beach community this September. Oh, and don’t forget to RSVP on our Facebook event page!
